Mauna Kea Beach

In the cove next door to Hapuna Beach is Mauna Kea Beach, another one of the best white sand beaches on the Big Island of Hawaii. The beach is accessible from the iconic Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, but there are only about 20 parking spots for public access. If you want to go, you better get there early!

The beach really was as amazing as it’s made out to be and we stayed almost until sunset. Believe me, I could’ve stayed there forever! There’s a great reef, excellent for some snorkeling and a nice amount of waves for swimming. Oh and the sand is the perfect type for building sandcastles!
