Home Decor: Our New Living Room featuring Rove Concepts

I am so happy and proud to say that I have finally gotten the living room of our new house decorated to how I dreamt it to be! When we first moved in, the walls were all white, which was fresh and nice to see as a home buyer, but once we moved in, I couldn’t wait to add some of our own personality and creativity to the space.

First things first, I wanted to do a dark feature wall. We had dark walls in our previous home and we loved how they added depth and elegance to the space. Justine and I have always wanted an L-shaped sectional sofa as well, so that was a must-have in our new living room. I found this beautiful, modern sectional from Rove Concepts and they were gracious enough to partner with me to help furnish our space! Named the “Antonio Modular Sectional“, this sofa can be arranged and rearranged in all sorts of different configurations to suit your space. As you can see, we’ve done a large L-shape with ours, which I had fabricated in “Malmo Modern Felt” with matte black legs. You could use the ottoman section as just that, but we wanted it to add length to the sofa and I also wanted to do a round marble coffee table. This one is the “Evelyn” from Rove Concepts. It’s crafted in a stunning, solid white Carrara marble, with black metal legs.

To complete the look, I layered 2 cowhide rugs that we already had. I like the contrast of pairing the 2 together. I also added a few feather throw pillows to the sofa to give some more texture, dimension and of course, comfort.

The Chanel-inspired art piece on the wall was part of another collaboration I did, with Inktuitive and it has already been quite a conversation starter. If you haven’t checked out their selection of motivational art, you definitely should! You can also check out Bumblejax.com to see if their acrylic style prints are more to your liking for your home re-design.

Check out more photos of the space and how I’ve set it up (for now!) below and let me know what you think!

Even Sofia is loving the new sofa!

Yes, very happy with the quality. The solid marble top is beautiful and well sealed to resist stains.

Looks like there are many wrinkles and creases on the cushions of this couch. Wanted to buy this couch but this is a show stopper for me.

Amazing home! What color is your Antonio sofa? Also, is it comfy? The backrest looks very short, looks like it only supports your lower back. I’m wondering what you think about this.

Thank you! The color/fabric is the malmo modern felt. The corner has a high backrest, with a soft headrest at the top. The rest of the sofa has a lower profile back. We like the modern look, but also added additional, large feather-filled pillows for more back and head support in the other sections.

I love the design and decor of the room looking very stylish. The black walls are making all the magic?

Do you still have this sofa/living setup? If so, how is it holding up after all this time?

Yes, we do and we love it! Looks just as good as it did when we first got it. We even got a puppy since, who loves to jump up and run around on the sofa!
