Happy New Year!! Can you believe it’s already 2016?! It’s hard to believe that another year has flown by.

Justine and I are currently out West, where we celebrated New Year’s Eve with family and friends in Vancouver. Even though I’m now a proud resident of the East Coast, it still feels good to be back on the West Coast. The last couple times we’ve been back to visit, we’ve shot at this pier at Crescent Beach, near my family’s home. It’s a smaller pier than the one at the busier, nearby White Rock Beach, but I find it more peaceful and a bit of a locals-only spot. But now you all know too, haha.

A couple of winters have gone by that I’ve wanted a good black wool coat, but haven’t found one that I love. This year, I found one from Superdry and I finally feel like my winter coat roster is complete! … for now. I’m a big fan of military styling and this coat has all the features I always love: a tall collar, double-breasted buttons and shoulder epaulettes, just to name a few. Paired with ripped black jeans, chukka boots, denim shirt and a new sweater Justine’s mom got me for Christmas, and the look is complete!
