There’s no denying I love a good denim on denim look. Maybe because I am Canadian, but I always feel comfortable in a “Canadian tuxedo”. I just love denim! Someone recently sent me a message on Instagram complementing me on how I look in denim and that he’d like to see how I would incorporate a denim jacket in a layered winter look. I was (and still am) very flattered by the feedback and I decided to put together this outfit in response to the request!
Of course, it’s too cold out to be rocking a denim jacket your sole piece of outerwear. However, layered under a wool overcoat, you’ve got a fresh, layered look. Going that extra mile, as I usually like to do with style, I paired a denim jacket with jeans AND a denim shirt. Three different shades of indigo – don’t be afraid to try it!
I kept the palette cool with a grey wool coat and silver mirrored aviators. Finishing off the look with brown leather, military-style boots.
What I’m wearing: Topman Coat // Guess denim jacket // Guess denim shirt // Distressed jeans (similar at River Island and H&M) // Palladium boots // Ray-Ban sunglasses

You should give denim shirts a try! They might grow on you ;)
Always love a Canadian tuxedo…especially with an overcoat on top. I’m wearing the same thing in HK!
