Weekend at Viamede, Pt. 2

And now for Part 2 of my weekend getaway at Viamede Resort!

I still can’t believe how amazing the weather was last weekend. It truly was a kick off to cottage season and I couldn’t have been happier to relax at Stoney Lake. On our second day at Viamede, Justine and I hung out with our friends Jenn and Justin, who also came up from Toronto. Jenn runs a fantastic site called Travel & Style – if you haven’t been to it, check it out!

After a deliciously filling breakfast, we took a stroll around the resort property and visited the Viamede pigs. Yes, the resort raises their own pigs and they are surprisingly cute! The smell however, was exactly what you’d expect from a pig pen.

The later half of the day was spent lounging on the docks and by the outdoor pool. For dinner, we enjoyed another incredible meal. The food at Viamede was definitely a highlight. The ingredients are fresh and the chef prepared each meal with care.

If you’re interested in a little road trip to Cottage Country yourself, be sure to mention my blog or KENTON magazine to get 10% off your stay!

I hadn’t heard of it either until recently. It’s a great spot in Cottage Country!
