#TheCreators: At Home at the Royalton New York

We’re halfway through New York Fashion Week and there’s no sign of slowing down just yet. It’s been a wild week so far (you can check out a day in my fashion week life on KENTON!), running around the city from show to show and battling the city traffic. Fortunately, I’ve had a wonderful home base this season at the Royalton New York. My home away from home, this hotel has been so welcoming from the moment I arrived. Centrally located on 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, it’s a convenient spot not only to get to the fashion shows, but also some of my favorite foodie spots in the city, like Maze, Bouchon Bakery and The Bar Downstairs.

Aside from the spacious rooms, the Royalton New York also has a beautiful lobby lounge that serves as a perfect retreat to get some work done during the afternoon, but doubles as a nightlife hotspot after dark. The hotel features a special after-work happy hour, aptly called The Tipping Point, which is popular with both locals and travelers alike. Either way you intend to enjoy the space, cozying up by the central fireplace is the best place to be on these cold winter days.

On Day 2 of New York Fashion Week, Justine and I took a break from shows to catch up on our work in the lobby lounge. While we were down there, I also captured a few shots of my look that day (sans coat), as well as the essence of the lounge space.
