Last week, I made a quick trip down to New York to host the reopening of FENDI‘s SoHo pop-up boutique (104 Greene Street) and the brand’s Lunar New Year Celebration during New York Fashion Week. It was such an honor to partner an iconic fashion house, like FENDI!
I flew to New York a couple days early to enjoy the city and also do a fitting at the FENDI headquarters to pick out my outfit for the event. After having lived in New York for 5 1/2 years, the city always feels like a second home to me.
Here’s a peek into the FENDI head office. Gorgeous space:
For the event, I ended up choosing a FENDI monster jacket and a metallic T-shirt. I love the monster eyes and shearling look on the jacket!

With my beautiful girlfriend, Justine during the party! <3
I invited many of my New York friends to the event and I was so happy to see almost all of them there! Our fellow Toronto blogging friends Cailli and Sam of Beckerman Blog also made it out – we always have a blast together!
Sam and I, excited at how much space the FENDI Peekaboo bag has and realizing that we could probably put our dogs in the bags… LOL.
The event was so much fun! There was great music, delicious bites and gorgeous FENDI all around. Not to mention all of the amazing people who came to party!
While in New York, I also go to meet up with my insta-buddy, Brandon Duvall. We’ve been following each other for a long time and I feel like I already knew him, so it was great to finally hangout in real life. We had lunch at Soho House in the Meatpacking District and then headed out to take some photos in the neighborhood.
On our last day in New York, Justine and I met up with a few of our friends for lunch at Jack’s Wife Freda. It turned out to be very eventful when our friend Talia found a men’s wedding ring in her salad! Bloop! Of course, this sent us into hysterical laughter and all kinds of questioning as to how this ring ended up there. Like, was she being proposed to in some unique and unusual way? Was the chef trying to get out of his marriage?
In the end, the waitress took care of the situation and we now have an amazing New York memory to share together. Ring aside, the food at that restaurant was delicious and the cantaloupe juice is a must-have!
Another great New York trip for the books.
Until next time!
