This past weekend, I got to experience my first Art Basel in Miami with Persol. Despite the atypical rainy weather in Miami, it was a fantastic few days of art, food and fun! Our Persol blogger crew made ourselves at home at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, right on South Beach. It was a great location to get to all of the festivities and Justine‘s and my room had a beautiful view out onto the beach.
We had the first afternoon free, so we took a walk around the hotel property and got ourselves acquainted with the pool and beach area.
On our first night in Miami, we dined at Mr. Chow. It’s definitely a hotspot in town, as we dined amongst some recognizable faces, like Lenny Kravitz, Eva Longoria, Ricky Martin and Katie Holmes. After dinner, we made our way to LIV at the Fontainebleau, where we danced the night away.
Justine and I started Day 2 with coffee and croissants in our room, as we prepared for a day at sea.
The whole group headed down to the marina and we boarded our yacht for the day!
I’ve been to Miami a few times and one of my favorite things to do is look at all the beautiful real estate along the intracoastal.
It was so fun to be reunited with my New York friends, Justin and Dan on this trip! Obviously, a selfie was in order:
Here, with Lisa and our self-proclaimed “captain” of the yacht, Anthony:

After our day on the water, we cleaned up and went to the convention center to check out Art Basel. It was a huge exhibition, with so many cool pieces to see. There was art from galleries all over the world on display.
After a couple hours of walking through Art Basel, we went for a delicious dinner at Prime One Twelve. I had heard a lot about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food and service were excellent! I had a tuna tartare, followed by steak. For dessert, we shared cheesecake, key lime pie and gelato.
On our last day in Miami, the sun finally made a partial appearance. I spent the afternoon out at the beach with a few friends from our group and it was a perfect way to end the weekend.
