Photo Diary: Left My Heart in San Francisco

I left my heart in San Francisco.

And that leads me to the question: why have I not visited this beautiful city sooner?! To be technical, I had been to San Francisco once, but when I was young child and I can hardly remember anything beyond going to a very large FAO Schwarz store. Two weekends ago, I finally made it back and fortunately, this time I took lots of photos to remember what I did (haha).

If you’ve been following closely on social media these past few months, you’ll know that Justine teamed up with Nike to partake in the #WeRunSF Nike Women’s Half Marathon, which was the sole purpose of our trip to San Fran. The trip was very short (just a weekend), but in the time we had in the city of hills, it’s safe to say that we both fell in love with the city’s charm.

The first morning after we arrived, I had some time to wander the neighborhood. We stayed at The Clift, located just steps from Union Square. I definitely recommend the hotel, which happens to be a sister property to my favorite NYC spot, The Hudson.

For my day of exploration, I wore a denim shirt, paired with H&M white jeans and Jack Purcell Converse sneakers. In the accessories department, I wore Cardinal Eyewear sunglasses, a Caravelle New York watch, Coach x Philip Crangi bracelet and a David Yurman bracelet.

Started the day right, with Starbucks of course:

Naturally, it didn’t take long for me to stroll right into the middle of all of the high-end designer stores on Post Street.

There is a Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Store in San Francisco. I repeat, a Saks just for menswear!

How quaint is Maiden Lane?

Obviously had to take a photo of a trolley car. Wish I could have captured a more artistic shot, but I suppose that’ll have to wait until next time!

And here’s Justine running on race day!

Thumbs up post-race. She had a fantastic run and I was and still am so so proud!

San Francisco was so amazing and I can’t wait to go back! The weather at this time of year is just perfection. Not cold, not hot. Classic morning fog that lifted away for clear, sunny skies in the afternoon.
