Lacoste City Golf Collection

“Life is a Beautiful Sport”

The title of LACOSTE‘s latest campaign couldn’t be more appropriate. I have been a longtime follower and supporter of Lacoste, a brand rooted in a quest for authenticity, performance and elegance. Their pieces are always thoughtfully designed, enabling confidence and ease, while beautifully infusing sport with ready-to-wear.

This season, Lacoste has introduced a new line, the City Golf Collection, which celebrates and promotes the brand’s optimism and courage through looks ranging from casual to business appropriate attire. The collection is inspired by the curves of the legendary Chantaco golf course in France and the bold, architectural lines of the city. Tailored style is met with technical design for a modern look that brings the spirit of sport into the urban streets.

To showcase some of the highlights from the City Golf Collection, I partnered with Lacoste to share some of my favorite pieces with you in this look that I’ve styled in the pictures. The brand challenged me with styling an outfit from the collection, but also to consider the theme of “life as a beautiful sport”. I thought about what makes my life beautiful and of the many things that came to mind, travel stood out to me. So what better than to shoot my City Golf look during my recent trip to Vancouver?

Vancouver happens to be my hometown and a city that I am fortunate to return to multiple times a year. It is a great fusion of natural west coast beauty and metropolitan life – a perfect backdrop for my Lacoste City Golf look.

Upon visiting the Lacoste boutique at Yorkdale Shopping Centre (3401 Dufferin Street #314) to pick out my look, navy stood out as a strong color throughout the collection. It’s also one of my favorite colors to wear in the fall/winter time, so I decided to use navy as a basis for my outfit, complemented by a rich maroon. The jersey quilted bomber jacket is a standout piece for me. It’s thick enough to wear as outerwear in the fall, but also tailored enough to fit smoothly under a coat during the cold winter months, as an added insulating layer.

To finish off the look, I chose a pair of leather desert boots. They’re a great versatile shoe style that I come back to season after season.

I’ve shared my story, but now it’s your turn! What makes YOUR life beautiful? Lacoste is giving you a chance to win a $100 gift card to create your own City Golf look too! Enter below:

I would definitely buy the jersey quilted bomber jacket. It completes that look, and I think it would look awesome on my boyfriend. Definitely a great Christmas present.

I would buy Alex’s entire outfit because, lezbehonest, I already wear clothing like that. Alex does wear everything better though! The shoes are particularly fresh!

Lacoste, you are lucky to work with someone as talented as Alex.
