72 Hours of Man with Biotherm Homme

A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take the trip of a lifetime with Biotherm Homme. Alongside seven other guys from across Canada and the US, I made my way out west to Vancouver to embark on a 72 hour-long adventure to launch Biotherm Homme’s new Aquapower 72 Hour Glacial Hydrator.

Upon arrival in Vancouver, we were picked up by Bernard from Exacto Communications (who organized the whole trip) and Val from Biotherm (our one token lady of the group) in two, brand new, white Land Rover LR4‘s – the trip was definitely off to a luxurious start. Our first night (Thursday) was spent meeting the group and enjoying downtown Vancouver. The weather was absolutely perfect and of course the West Coast had to show off its beauty with a glorious sunset over Coal Harbour that evening. Bright and early Friday morning, we headed back to the airport – this time to the South Terminal of YVR – to catch a private jet with Levaero Avaiation up to Pemberton. Breaking up into two groups, we flew up and out of the city. It was a short under 30-minute flight, but definitely one to remember. The views were incredible as we flew through the mountains.

After we landed in Pemberton, we were transported to a helicopter pad to head up to the Pemberton icecap glacier. For the record, it totally felt like a sequence from an action thriller movie! The helicopter whisked us up to the glacier, dropped us on the ice and took off again. There we were, our small group alone on top of the world. It was absolutely incredible. The feeling in that moment is indescribable. After taking it all in, we turned around to see a fleet of snowmobiles just begging to be driven. Without wasting any time, we dove into a crash course on operation and safety, and off we went! It was a marvelous afternoon of mountain exploration. Eventually circling back to our little glacier camp, we were treated to a BBQ and “glacier golf”.

Reveling in the high from our glacier expedition, we were helicoptered back down to the mountain base and took a short drive to Whistler, where we checked into the Four Seasons Whistler for Friday night. A few of us snuck in a quick dip in the pool and hot tub before heading to dinner at Bearfoot Bistro (Whister’s #1 restaurant). The meal was next level delicious – we’re all still drooling over the beef tenderloin. Literally melt-in-your-mouth.

Early Saturday morning, we were up and at it again, with a full day of zip lining and white water rafting ahead of us. From high up in the trees to right in with the river rapids, there was no shortage of action (and adrenaline!). That evening, we drove back down to Vancouver for a special, private dinner, created by Chef Juno Kim.

Sunday morning came, in what felt like the blink of an eye. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Hawksworth at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia (where we spent the night), reminiscing about our adventure together, recounting our favorite moments and of course, having a good laugh at some of the inside jokes that emerged over the weekend.

As you can probably tell by the length of this post by now already, it was an incredible experience that I am still on a high from. Luckily, we had a videographer with us the whole time, to capture the action and all of the crazy activities we got up to!
