For me, the happiest place I could possibly be is nearby the water. Ocean is best, but lake will do. This little gem of a spot alongside Lake Ontario was a surprise discovery for Justine and me, a couple weeks back, while driving past Pickering. I mean, who would have thought there would be a nice sand beach and an accompanying seaside village out there?
Dressed in shades of blue and nautical stripes, my look that day was perfect to shoot next to the water. The weather was that perfect warm-but-not-too-hot-or-cold that allows for wearing shorts with a jacket or sweater. Here, I tried out pairing a longer lightweight parka with shorts. I believe I saw the look on the menswear runways at last fashion week, which inspired me to give it a try now- what do you think?
Also, totally on the Birkenstock wave this summer. The slide-style sandal trend is still going strong from last year and for comfort’s sake, I really hope it stays!
