Shop Online with Faster, Cheaper Shipping to Canada

Shipllama makes cross-border shopping as easy and enjoyable as relaxing in the pool on a hot summer day.

A couple weeks ago, I told you guys about an amazing new shipping service called, Shipllama, which has totally changed the game in online shopping for Canadians. With their E-Forwarding service, you can shop at all of your favorite U.S. retailers – even the ones that don’t offer shipping to Canada – and have your purchases mailed to any Canadian address. Taxes and duties included, so you get one total shipping price. No surprises.

I recently gave Shipllama’s E-Forwarding service a try, when I ordered a pair of board shorts from Saturdays Surf NYC. They did offer shipping to Canada, but for a steep price of $45, which didn’t include the taxes and duties (~$20) either. To recap from my last post, the cost of shipping my purchase through Shipllama was $12.00, for a grand total of $43.82, including taxes and duties. That versus $65+ if I had shipped directly to Canada. Businesses looking to bring their products into Canada have access to separate freight rates for highway dispatch, allowing them to ship from US to Canada in quantities of all sizes.

alexander-liang-shipllamaAt the end of my last post, I had just finished placing my Shipllama order and was awaiting the arrival of my package. Not long after, my new board shorts arrived at my door and I was in the pool, swimming in them (pictured above). Pretty quickly, I might add, considering that I selected standard shipping! It took 8 business days total, which may sound like a lot, but that did include customs processing time (which unfortunately can’t be avoided). My assumption is that it was likely the same, if not quicker than if I had chosen the option to ship the package directly to Canada. And of course, we can’t forget the savings of over $20 on the shipping.

Overall, using Shipllama was very easy and efficient. Their E-Forwarding service takes out all the surprise costs of online shopping and cross-border shipping, with undeniable savings.

If you live in Canada and love to shop online, I highly recommend you give Shipllama’s E-Forwarding service a try. And before you check out, use code “ALEX10” to get 10% off on E-Forwarding! Happy Shopping!
