Saltwater Collective

One of my favorite things about Instagram is meeting my “insta-friends” in real life. Some months ago, Saltwater Collective started following me on insta and their clean, seaside aesthetic caught my eye, alongside their dedication to ocean conservation and home base in Toronto. As you know, I love everything about the ocean, so started following Saltwater Collective too to learn more of what they’re all about.

Fast forward a few months and many likes on each other’s photos later, and we finally setup a coffee meeting to have a chat in real life. I met with Saltwater Collective co-founder Julie, who was super cool. Much younger than I was expecting and full of passion for her the brand’s vision. She was even so sweet to bring along one of their new crewneck sweatshirts for me, which by the way is the softest thing ever and sustainably made right here in Toronto.

Long story short, wherever you’re reading this post from, you should go check out Saltwater Collective. They’re young entrepreneurs who have found a way to combine sustainability and environmental conservation with fashion – and that’s awesome.

Here’s a fun outtake shot with my friend Dustin after lunch the other day. We always dress very similar and he almost wore his Saltwater Collective sweatshirt that day too. And I almost wore light ripped jeans. Twin moment narrowly avoided… or was that a missed opportunity for a good photo? lol.
