Life’s Moments with the Movado BOLD Motion Engineered by HP

Although I work in the digital space and am usually quick to welcome new tech, I wasn’t one of the first early adopters of the smartwatch. In part, because I wasn’t a fan of the styles available and also because I thought it would create another distraction for me. However, I’ve been given the new Movado BOLD Motion, Engineered by HP smartwatch to try these past couple weeks and I am loving it! It perfectly combines the beauty of Movado’s classic design aesthetic with HP’s technology. The analog dial is understated and unassuming at first impression. However, when you get a notification of importance, the dial illuminates and the watch vibrates. You can set different levels of illumination and vibration as well, based on the type of notification and its priority.

The Movado BOLD Motion, Engineered by HP notifies you of calls, messages, social media notifications, and calendar events subtly, without sacrificing style. I especially love the fact that I can put my phone away, but still be aware when there is something important that needs a response.

A lot of people ask me what my day-to-day life looks like as a full-time blogger. I tell them, every day is different. Sure, they all begin with coffee, but after that it’s go-go-go; shooting, emailing and updating all of my social media platforms. While I’m relatively decent at multi-tasking, it’s easy to get distracted with everything going on.

When working at my desk, I often take the opportunity to set my phone aside to charge, sync or update. I do most of my work on the computer, but I frequently like to catch up on industry news and read magazines throughout the day too. With my Movado Bold Motion smartwatch on, I can focus 100% on whatever it is I’m doing, but be easily reminded when I have an important call or a meeting to get to…

If you didn’t already know, “Movado” means “always in motion”. So it’s no surprise that this smartwatch has a progress tracker. I’ve been enjoying this fun feature, which tracks all of my steps throughout the day and displays my step count vs. daily goal in the Movado Bold Motion App on my phone. So far, it has told me that I should be walking a lot more, ha!

When I can, I like to take a proper coffee break in the afternoon. It’s a good excuse to walk, get some fresh air, and leave my phone in my pocket for a bit.

However, I’m still able to stay connected and can be alerted by the lights and vibrations when someone has texted me.

In the late afternoon, it’s time for my dog Sofia’s second walk. When I’m out walking with her, I have my hands full. With my smartwatch on, I know when I actually need to stop and take my phone out of my pocket. Now I wear it even more often than my military watch.

Stunning watch. I’m not normally a huge fan of smart watches. When it’s done in a subtle way, i appreciate it.

Keeping the classic look of a watch is key for me. I can’t stand the Apple watch.

Love these shots, especially the last! I’ve liked Movado for a while and I think this new piece is super sharp!
