Holding On To Summer

Just when we thought summer was coming to an end, things have taken a turn, with a welcomed heat wave that hasn’t shown signs of ending anytime soon. Mornings are cooler, but by the afternoon, it feels like it’s still July! Cue all the memes referencing the regret that comes with leaving the house in a sweater, only to find yourself roasting by 2pm. Getting dressed in the morning is definitely tricky in this transitional season. You think it’s supposed to be fall, but then you feel like it’s still summer. When in doubt, I always go for neutral earth tones. They can go either way and they make layering, mixing and matching super easy. Scoop tees have become my go-to base layer and I recently discovered PacSun’s All Day Scallop T-shirts, which are the perfect fit and length. I’m also really picky, preferring to wear 100% cotton tees and these ones from PacSun fit the bill. They also come in 3-packs of essential color ways, making it easy to stock up.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, Champion has made a huge comeback over the past couple months. The classic Champion hoodie is a must-have for fall. I love the dense weight of this particular style, as well as its well-washed finish.

The Adidas NMD is still going strong and I was pretty excited to get my hands on the R1 Primeknit Japan White style, which you’ll definitely be seeing in many more of my outfits to come.

Yeah, Champion seems to be making a comeback. It was a pretty big brand when I grew up in the 80s, maybe that’s why I like it so much.

I’m actually wearing my navy blue Champion sweatpants as I’m writing this! :)
