Adventures in Whistler with the 2018 Lincoln Navigator

Last week, I headed to the West Coast for an alpine adventure with Lincoln, to get acquainted with their 2018 Navigator. I was joined by a few fellow bloggers and media from across Canada, meeting altogether in Vancouver to embark on the road trip up to Whistler. Hot off the plane, we hopped into the fleet of Lincoln Navigators and headed up the Sea To Sky highway.

Keep scrolling to check out what we got up to and discover the Navigator with me!

The 2018 Navigator has all the technological bells and whistles, plus the added luxury features like seat and steering wheel heating, leather interior and full panoramic moonroof. Electronic seating controls are located conveniently on the door for both driver and front passenger. Every part of the seat can be adjusted to offer you the most comfort possible for your drive. Not to mention there is even a massage function in the seats, designed to promote blood flow and keep you feeling good and alert on long drives.

We made a pit stop along the way to Whistler at the Sea To Sky Gondola. We were super lucky to just make the cutoff as the last rides up and down from the lookout. Riding the gondola up the side of the mountain, we got to take in some pretty spectacular views and when we got to the top, we stepped out into the most magical scene. A first taste of the mountain snow. It was like being inside a snow globe!

Continuing our drive, rain turned to snow and in no time, we had reached Whistler. We checked in at the Four Seasons Whistler, refreshed and regrouped for dinner at the resort.

The next morning, it was time for a peek of the peak! A helicopter tour of the mountains. Personally, this was the part of the trip I was most looking forward to. I had been up in a helicopter with Blackcomb Helicopters before, but it was during the summer, so I was really excited to see the mountains all covered in snow. Now being able to compare both experiences, I have to say that the mountains are even more breathtaking in the winter. The views were absolutely incredible!!

Our helicopter tour ended at Big Sky Golf Course, right in front of the clubhouse and in perfect time for lunch. Sidebar: I can now say that I’ve helicoptered to lunch! I mean, does it get any better than that?

After lunch, we headed to Scandinave Spa for an afternoon of relaxation and rejuvenation. I enjoyed a massage, as well as a few circuits of the hot/cold hydrotherapy. If you’ve never been to a Scandinave Spa, I highly recommend it. This was my second time at the Whistler location and I’ve left feeling fantastic both times.

In the evening, we dined at Bearfoot Bistro, one of Whistler’s must-try restaurants. The menu features a number of local seafood and wild game options, as well as the best of the best available from around the globe. It’s quite the experience as well, complete with champagne sabering in their underground wine cellar, and vodka tasting in the Ketel One Ice Room.

On our third and last day, we had a slow morning, taking breakfast at the hotel. My wonderful assistant Vyvian setup and captured this amazing breakfast spread on her room’s balcony. Isn’t it just magical?

We encountered a heavy snowfall on the drive back down the Sea To Sky highway, but it was nothing the Navigator couldn’t handle with ease. With a number of different drive modes available, like “Slippery Conditions” and “Deep Conditions”, The vehicle had us prepared for whatever Mother Nature threw down.

It was certainly another wonderful trip for the books. A big Thank You to the Lincoln team for putting together this luxurious adventure! I think the Navigator will have to be my go-to alpine vehicle from now on!
