There’s something very chic about horse racing, throughout history to modern day. The outfits, the hats, the betting and the beauty of the horses all make for an exciting affair. The first time I ever attended a horse race was back in 2011, in Washington D.C. and it was quite the fashion event. Everyone was dressed to the nines, with plenty of eye-catching ensembles and of course, extraordinary hats.
It’s been some time since I’ve been to a horse race, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be attending the Pattison Canadian International Gr. 1 horse race, in two weeks at Woodbine Racetrack. The Pattison Canadian International Gr. 1 is one of Woodbine Racetrack’s most prestigious and fashionable events that caps off the summer season. To emphasize that, each person who attends will receive a scarf and their first bet will be compliments of Woodbine. Exciting!
The Pattison Canadian International Gr. 1 event also hosts cuisine from around the world. There are numerous vendors that will be setting up shop, offering an array of global delicacies. Horses, betting, fashion and good food. I mean, what more could you ask for?
If you happen to be going to the Pattison Canadian International Gr. 1 too, snap a selfie at the racetrack and post it on Twitter, using the hashtag #OffToTheRaces, for a chance to win a $1000 Woodbine Racetrack gift card at the end of the horse racing season!
Anyway, I better start planning my outfit for the event, not to mention do a little research on which horses I should bet on! As always, if you have any tips, I’d love to hear them.
