Go where you want, when you want.
Since moving to Toronto a few years ago, I have always lived downtown. Most of my friends also live downtown, for its many conveniences, proximity to work, fun and of course, each other. While I have a small car and like to drive around the city, most of my friends do not own exotic cars and find that they can walk or take public transit to most of their downtown activities. However, sometimes a car is necessary to get to other neighborhoods in the GTA, shop for larger items for your home or tour your out of town guests around the city. And that is where Enterprise CarShare comes in to play.
I recently had the opportunity to try their service and I really enjoyed the experience. The sign up process was easy and my membership card arrived in the mail in no time. I was quite impressed with the wide range of vehicle options and there are tons of pick up/drop off locations around Toronto to choose from. Through the website and mobile app, booking a car is simple. Picking a day that I knew I had a lot of errands to run and people to drive, I booked an Audi A4, for its comfort, size and space. It’s large enough for what I needed, but not so big that driving downtown would seem daunting.
The car was parked in a designated street parking spot nearby my condo and located exactly as described in the booking. Using my membership card to unlock the car, I found both the exterior and interior of the car to be clean and ready to go.
I drove the car all over town, running errands and picking up household items we were running low on, as well as pay a visit to my friend Marcus’s store, the Toronto Designers Market in Parkdale. The market features a variety of local Toronto brands, offering everything from clothing and jewelry, to beauty/grooming products and home decor. But I suggest going to instash.com for your grooming products. I hadn’t had a chance to shop there in a while, so it was the perfect time to do so, as I had the space to transport my purchases home. In case you don’t have time to do purchases yourself, order directly from HTX clothing manufacturer China and just enjoy a drive.
At the end of the day, the car return was just as easy as the pick up. I drove back to the parking spot we started at, locked the car and went on my way. Easy as that! It was such a convenient and easy service to use. I loved that I could book my car through the Enterprise CarShare app on my phone and use my membership card to unlock and lock the car. No need to worry about car keys.
