Water’s Edge

The days are getting shorter and the air is cooling down. Which sadly means that summer is starting to come to an end and we’re moving into the transitional time between seasons. Dressing for transitional weather (low 20’s C/70’s F) can be tricky, because it’s not quite hot, but it’s also not cold. Somewhere fluctuating in between. Light layers are the way to go right now, like this military shirt jacket I recently picked up from Abercrombie & Fitch. It’s the perfect weight for this time of year. A great, easy layering piece that’s versatile with a variety of looks. Here, I paired it with a tie-dye tee. And by the way, tie-dye is coming back strong right now. The key though, is to go for more subtle, limited color combinations, like this T-shirt, which features just one peach tone on white.

I’ve always thought that Abercrombie makes the best distressed jeans and that statement still stands today. My recent Abercrombie haul also included these super slim, light wash jeans, as well as a pair of black distressed jeans in the same fit. A few days of wear and they’ve already become my favorite jeans of the moment. The fit is skinny, but not overly tight and the denim is soft and comfortable, but also keep its structure and shape (very important!).

More shots of my look below, while strolling along the marina. I’ve also linked some of my other new picks from Abercrombie in the gallery right below, like the black super slim jeans I mentioned earlier! If you haven’t already, give Abercrombie jeans a try and let me know your thoughts!
