1964 Benz

I’m back on the West Coast right now, visiting my family in Vancouver. The weather has been absolutely perfect so far, affording us many pool days and beautiful sunsets. Justine and I even brought our little pup, Sofia, who has yet to debut here on my blog, but if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen quite a bit of her! I’ll have to dedicate a post to her soon.

Anyway, a while back my dad acquired a 1964 Mercedes-Benz during a charity auction. Funny enough, he wasn’t actually trying to bid on the car, but rather get the bids up (which was his event committee role). Well, he ended up as the last bidder and now this beautiful vintage car is parked in my family’s garage, ha!

The car is in excellent condition and the original lead paint sparkles in the light. We took it out for a drive the other day and it was surprisingly smooth. There was something very beautiful about the simplicity of this car – no automatic windows, A/C, bluetooth music etc… just purely about the drive.

Of course, if we were going take the car out, we’d definitely want to take some photos with it! Playing on the vintage theme and working with what I had packed for the trip, I decided to do a black and white, retro (think Grease or James Dean) inspired look. Simple and to the point.

What’s your take on vintage cars? Do you have a favorite year model/make?

What I’m wearing:
Gap T-shirt // DSTLD jeans // Palladium Sneakers // TOMS sunglasses // BRATHWAIT watch // Vitaly bracelet

And here’s a little bonus pic from Snapchat, with Sofia!

My go to summer look. A white tee and black pants with sneakers and quality eyewear. Just classic! and the car, even more classic. Thank you for sharing!
